A Poem for Joshua

From Sly Smith and Family

Thirteen years seems so few
To accomplish all he needed to do.
But Joshua gave all he could and so much more.

Never slowing down, though life was a chore
Always doing more than he could
Always helping because he thought he should.

Never about what others had to say
But prove to himself that he could live another day.

If only we knew, that night would be his last,
We would have done more before he passed.

Asleep so silent, in Heaven to awake
For God has chosen this night, his soul to take.

He has gone to be an Angel,
in a world of no suffering and pain.

And until we meet again....
There with God he will remain.

Rest in peace mighty Ronin,
for you are in the arms of the King.
